First year, studying Economics and history

What’s one thing you’re incredibly passionate about?

Passionate about playing the cello and reading historical fiction. (Fariha’s note: Naomi was definitely written by a woman)

How long have you been debating for?

1 year.

What led you to try debate for the first time?

I was looking for free pizza on campus, stumbled into a UADS meeting, and was instantly hooked on debate

What do you love most about UADS?

we have a strong sense of community and we love to see everybody succeed.

What’s one of your favourite UADS memories?

When we ended up getting terribly lost on the U of C campus.

Using one word, what’s a topic you could forever debate about?

Environmentalism

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to new debaters?

Remember that every debater was new to debate at some point! I reccomend you just get started because it’s crazy how fast you improve after just a couple practices:))

Being in a bad car accident definitely changed my perspective on a lot of things
